Maharashtra southwards up to an altitude of 1,200 m. An ornamental hedge plant in gardens.

Ayurvedic Sahachara (purple, blue, rose or white-flowered var.)

Ation Roots and leaves are used cough, bronchitis, inflammations

(applied to swellings).
