Action Stembark—astringent, spasmolytic, hypoglycaemic.

Gum—demulcent (soothing agent for inflammatory conditions of the respiratory, digestive and urinary tracts).

Pods—used in urogenital disorders.

Seeds—hypoglycaemic in normal rats.
