Botanical name - Oxalis corniculata

Description - Diffuse creeping herbs, rooting at nodes. Leaves palmately trifoliolate. Flowers yellow, in axillary umbels. Capsule oblong

Chemical Constituents- Leaves contain flavonoids vitexin, isovitexin. It contains oxalic acid, and oxalates of potassium and calcium

Use - Fresh juice of leaves given in dyspepsia, piles, anemia and tympanitis. Infusion of leaves used to cure opacity of the cornea. Leaf juice given to counteract Datura poisoning. It is employed in the treatment of scurvy.
