Description - Large shrubs or small trees. Leaves cordate, hairy, 3 to 5-lobed. Flowers white or pink turning red. Capsule subglobose, hairy

Chemical Constituents- Stems contain flavone glycoside naringenin, eriodictyol arabino pyranoside. Flowers contain quercimeritrin, meatrin and cyanin.

Use - Leaves used in cough, menorrhagia, dysuria, wounds caused by bums and scalds. Flowers given in pectoral and pulmonary complaints
