Description - Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is an evergreen shrub, without prickles on stems. Chemical Constituents- Root contains gossypol, mansonones D and F. Heart-wood contains sesquiterpenoids hibiscones A-D, hibisquinones A-D, lapachol. Flowers contain anthocyanin pigment, cyanidin diglucoside. Leaves contain carotene
